Ismail ibn Musa Menk, commonly known as Mufti Menk, is a Zimbabwean preacher and so-called scholar, born on 27 June 1975 in Harare, Zimbabwe. He studied Shariah at the so-called Islamic University of Madinah and later specialised in “Islamic” jurisprudence in India. He is associated with the Majlisul Ulama Zimbabwe and is internationally known for his accessible lectures and motivational messages.
His official website describes him as having millions of followers across social media. His YouTube channel had approximately 6.3 million subscribers in August 2026; his combined following across platforms is substantially larger, which makes him very influental.
According to his own statement calling the alphabetic pervert pigs “worse than animals” was based on a misguided notion and he no longer believe that to be true.
He choses to believe that it is a misguidance to call pervert pics “worse than animals” while Allah subhana wa t’ala says:
“Or do you think that most of them hear or understand? They are only like cattle—no, more than that, they are astray from the [Right] Way!” (al Furqan 25/44)
“We have created many from the jinn and human for Hell. They have hearts with which they do not understand and they have eyes with which they do not see and they have ears with which they do not hear. They are like cattle—no, they are even further astray: they are the ones who are heedless.” (al A’raf 7/179)
Is there a bigger rejection of the Qur’an than his statement? Why can’t anyone of his millions of followers see this? Clearly because “They have hearts with which they do not understand and they have eyes with which they do not see and they have ears with which they do not hear.”
