The passing of time has not eliminated false teachers or misguided religious leaders. Today, just as in the past, many individuals speak in the name of Islam while promoting beliefs, methodologies, or interpretations that contradict the Qur’an and the authentic Sunnah. Large followings, popularity, or eloquent speech are not proofs of truth.
This page examines a number of contemporary preachers and so-called scholars in light of the primary sources and the understanding of the righteous early generations. Our purpose is to distinguish truth from falsehood and encourage every person to follow the evidence wherever it leads.
As each of these individuals has numerous statements and positions that is kufr, it is not possible to list all of them. Therefore, only a small selection of examples has been included.
